Most local manufacturers are not equipped with the tools to properly load a container. Even if they are, they often reside far away from the ocean Ports of Loading. Additionally, many export containers are loaded with multiple pieces of cargo coming from different suppliers. For all such reasons a transload facility is often needed close to an ocean Port of Loading to load (or consolidate) the export cargo.
