Import containers arriving at the port of discharge are often destined to be delivered to a facility more inland. While rail is known to be the main mode of transportation for inland destinations, a significant portion of the volume would need transload (and cross-dock) services at the port of discharge prior to final delivery. Long rail transit times, consolidated freight and combining freight are among the main reasons behind the need for transload and cross-dock services. 

When import containers arrive to Port of Discharge and when our clients are urgently in need of their cargo, we transload their containers into an Over the Road (OTR) trailer to significantly reduce the transit time. Port to door transit time with our expedited transload service to Texas is 4 days and to New York is 7 days while it will take over 2 weeks on rail to Texas and 3 weeks to New York!
